SELECT LANGUAGE:
As Chief Technology Officer, Marcus Casal oversees technology strategy and language-focused innovation at Lionbridge. He is responsible for Lionbridge’s localization platform and workflow tools.
Marcus joined Lionbridge in 2001 and has served in a number of key leadership roles, most recently as Vice President of Product Management and Technology Strategy. He joined Amplexor in 2019 as SVP, Global Content Solutions Technology, where he developed the strategic roadmap for their Language Technology and Content Service platforms. After overseeing the technology aspects of the sale of Amplexor to Acolad, Marcus returned to Lionbridge to lead the execution of our ambitious development plans and technology transformation strategy.
Marcus has served on the board of TAUS (Translation Automation User Society) and is a frequent presenter at virtual and in-person events for GALA (Globalization and Localization Association) and LocWorld. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish from Duke University and a master’s degree in Educational and Instructional Technology from the University of Florida.
