WALTHAM, Mass. – April 2, 2020 – Lionbridge, a global leader in localization and data training services, is proud to congratulate Robin Ayoub on being elected president of AILIA. AILIA is Canada’s national trade association for the translation industry; Ayoub is general manager of Lionbridge’s Canadian operations.
Lionbridge has been a member of the association for more than two decades, which Ayoub says attests to the company’s driving role in “directly shaping and influencing the future of the Canadian language industry.” In the past, Ayoub personally served as chair of multiple committees. He also represents Lionbridge and AILIA on the Government of Canada’s Translation Bureau neural machine translation committee.
AILIA officers are elected by their peers – specifically, other translation providers. “It’s one thing to know you lead the industry in developing the future of localization,” Chief Executive Officer John Fennelly said. “It’s quite another for your competitors to publicly place you at the helm.”
Ayoub’s term will last two-years.
