Waltham, Mass. – April 21, 2020 – Parks Canada Agency has officially chosen global localization leader Lionbridge as a primary translation partner. The government agency protects and presents Canada’s national parks, national marine conservation areas, and national historic sites. Lionbridge won the account after a thorough request for standing offer (RFSO) and test translation process, beating out competitors from around the country.
“The travel industry has been hit hard by today’s changing times,” said Robin Ayoub, Lionbridge’s general manager of Canadian operations. “That’s why savvy organizations are using translation right now as a powerful tool. Current restrictions won’t last forever and when they end, our parks will need international content primed to bring multicultural visitors in.”
Under this two-year agreement, Lionbridge anticipates translating visitor information, guides, notices, and other trip planning information, as well as internal and external park communications in English and French.
